Studio 23 Creative is a freelance video, photography and podcast studio run by Curtis Campbell, based in Renfrewshire, Scotland. This page explains what personal information I collect, why I collect it, and what you can do about it.

Who is responsible for your information
Studio 23 Creative (Curtis Campbell) is the data controller for any personal information collected through this website or in the course of my work.

What I collect
When you get in touch. This website has no contact form. If you email, call or message me on social media, I receive whatever you choose to send: usually your name, your email address or phone number, and details about the project you have in mind.
When you become a client. To carry out a booking I will also hold details such as the shoot location and date, invoicing information, and any brief or notes you send me.
Photographs and video. My work involves recording images and audio of people. Where a shoot includes identifiable people, that footage is personal information too. It is captured on the instruction of the client who books the shoot, and it is that client's responsibility to make sure anyone being filmed or photographed knows about it and agrees.
When you visit this website. The site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. My hosting provider may set essential cookies needed to serve the pages and keep the site secure. If I ever add analytics, I will update this page and add a cookie notice first.
Why I use it, and on what basis
To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote. My legitimate interest in responding to people who contact me about work.
To deliver a booking you have made. Necessary to perform our contract.
To keep financial records. A legal obligation under UK tax law.
To show finished work in my portfolio. Only where the client has agreed to it. If you would rather your project was not shown publicly, tell me and it will not be.
I do not send marketing emails, and I do not sell or share your information with anyone for marketing.
Who else sees it
Only where it is necessary to run the business: Framer, which hosts this website; Google, which provides the email account I use for enquiries; and my accountant and HMRC, for invoicing and tax records.
These providers act on my instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that do not become bookings: up to twelve months, then deleted.
Client records and invoices: six years after the end of the tax year they relate to, which is the period HMRC requires.
Photographs and video: original files are kept for twelve months after delivery unless we agree otherwise, so that reprints or re-edits are possible. Portfolio material is kept for as long as it is in use.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask me to give you a copy of the information I hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, delete your information where I am not required to keep it, stop using it for a particular purpose, or provide it in a portable format.
Email studio23podcast@gmail.com and I will respond within one month. There is no charge.
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes I will update this page and change the date at the top.
